About the Area
A picturesque town situated 50 miles north of New York City on the Connecticut border with reservoirs, numerous lakes and streams that run through the rocky hills and lush greenery. Seven lakes make up almost one and a half square miles of the town and are surrounded by several lake front communities. The Town consists of 6 Hamlets, Goldens Bridge, Cross River, Waccabuc, South Salem, Lewisboro, and Vista. Lewisboro's jewels are its large nature preserves where residents enjoy hiking, running, swimming and even camping. The highly regarded Katonah-Lewisboro school district is comprised of three elementary schools that all come together in John Jay Middle and High Schools.
